Encourage Civic Engagement

Coaches should encourage staff and pupils to use of technology for improving communities.

ISTE explains that coaches should ‘inspire and encourage students to use technology and become informed citizens and make positive and socially responsible contributions, such as crowdfunding for a cause, or mobilising others to participate in a cause, vote or volunteer.

Tools include: 

• Teams channels for collaborating on charity events

• QR codes for payments to justgivingpages at charity events 

• Microsoft Forms for contributions to events 

• Blogs, podcasts, digital posters to raise awareness of issues
